A common question I ask my clients is “How is your eating going?” and the general response is “pretty good” (unless its the weekend then I may get another response!). However if they are not getting the results we expect then we need to delve a little deeper as many think they have a good diet however there are still improvements that can be made. If you want to get results you need a good nutrition plan to compliment your training program. Here are some simple rules to follow:-
1. Eat every 2-4 hrs
2. Protein & vegetables with every meal
3. If fat lost is your goal, eat veggies & fruit (low sugar) with any meal and only carbs after exercise
4. Eat healthy fats daily
5. Drink minimum of 2 litres of water every day
Sounds simple doesn’t it? If you monitor how much you eat, what you eat and when you eat you will get better results not to mention the health benefits of feeling and looking great!
